A variation of a classic that suits for barbecue dishes and the like quite well.
The basic idea was something sharp in the drink to house and that was quickly found with dried chili peppers. For sweet I wanted to have something that fits and is in the kitchen with so many dishes use in combination with chilli - Honey (zBHonig-chili crust). Bourbon whiskey was of course the same, but the acid, we switched to fresh lime juice that harmonized better here. Just like a small shot of fresh orange juice, which matched the chili and good bourbon. We already had our
'Rodeo' Whiskey Sour, in which the naming process was then the main thing.
Recipe:
6 cl Bourbon Whiskey (with us Four Roses)
3 BL acacia honey
3 cl fresh lime juice
1 1 / 2 dried chili peppers
2 oz fresh orange juice first
give the honey to the Boston glass, add the whiskey and stir briefly until the honey is dissolved. Pourer then all the other ingredients and shake vigorously with ice. Strain Per Double-strain into a chilled tumbler with 3-4 ice cubes. For decoration submits Sail with orange or lime, which is moistened with a little honey.
Another option has come up with my colleague Sascha F.. The whiskey to flavor already. And indeed with honey, chili peppers and orange peel. Worked wonderfully well, save for the preparation also sees time in the bottle always extravagant from (the same format was a new one after two times filter). Here I can not play the recipe, unfortunately, you know old family secret and such.
