Christmas giveaway!
As I spent hours
window and real shopping for Christmas presents I noticed how my fun vanished slowly. Usually, I love making gifts. I love the tension before someone opens my package, I love studying the expression on the face of the person I got a gift for, I love the happy face and the “wheee” sounds when the person loves what I gave him/her. I love choosing gifts with a lot of care about personal tastes and needs. I like to put myself in someone else’s position and think about what he/she would love to get. And in the end it usually has been worth the time, money and effort I put into it.
Beim stundenlangen Schaufensterbummel und Einkaufen für Weihnachtsgeschenke merkte ich, wie so langsam mein Spaß daran verschwand. Normalerweise liebe I make gifts. I love the tension, before someone opened my package. I love the expression on the face of the person to study, I have this gift. I love the happy face and the joyful exclamation when the gifted person love my gift gefällt.Ich it presents selected with great care, and I always think of the personal tastes and desires of those who want to give presents to me. I like it myself in others and think about what they would like. And in the end it's usually the trouble, the money and worth the time that I put into it.
But there are always those people too, who give you as present what THEY like.
Sometimes that works out, sometimes it doesn’t. For example my mother’s friend who’s taste is like...contrary to that of my mother. Each year she buys my mother something that is absolutely NOT my mother’s taste. It is a colour or design — or both — my mother doesn’t like at all. However, she chose it with much thought about what my mother could need or use. She tries her best to find something my mother would like. And even though she always buys her own favorite colour or style in the end, you can see that she really tried hard to find something that my mother would like. So everyone really appreciates it.
But when you get gifts where you have that strong feeling the other person did not even TRY to put herself in your place .... most of the time you are disappointed, but try hard not to show, do not you?

But there are always these people who give one what they like themselves. works Sometimes good, sometimes not. For example, my mother has a friend whose taste is contrary to that of my mother. Each year it gives my mother something that absolutely does not meet their taste. Either It is the color, design or both, that you do not like it. But she has carefully thought about what my mother might or might need. She gives her best to find something that my mother would like. And although they may in the end always buys her own favorite design or her favorite color you see that it has been really hard to find something nice for my mother. And so each of their gifts very appreciative.
But if you get gifts for which you have the strong feeling that not even-giving
has tried to put themselves into a self ... then one is usually disappointed but tries das nicht zu zeigen, richtig?

But I don’t want something like that ruin my fun giving presents.
How can you prevent something like that to happen? Sometimes you get gifts from people you aren’t that close to, for example family members that you see a few times a year at family meets and such. How could they know what you like?
Do you just hope they give you something you can be happy about, Or do you give out hints, wish lists or something else?
But I want my fun on Offer not let these things ruin. What are you doing to prevent such things? Sometimes you get so gifts of people one is not so close, more distant family members, for example, you meet a few days a year at family gatherings. Where they should know what you like?

This year I do a secret Santa with two groups of close friends. It is called “Wichteln”" in Germany, by the way.
One group consist of my friends I went to school with. We do that every year and hope that whoever is our secret Santa still knows us.
The other group consists of my close Lolita friends, whom I have met through the fashion and who have become really dear friends. We decided to create a short wish list for our secret Santas as a guide.
And for my family? There is nothing I really want from them , so I had no reason to ask for something. I know my mother got me the only thing I really needed and which I was going to buy myself. (But in a cheaper version, haha).
I am happy if I manage to get my family presents they really like. And I hope I can spend some “sister’s time” with my little sister who lives hours away from me. That and a Christmas party that is fun and will not be disturbed by some strange incident is what I wish for this year. :) And a merry Christmas party is a difficult wish already.
Dieses Jahr werde ich mit zwei Freundesgruppen wichteln. Das heißt auf Englisch übrigens „ Secret Santa “ ;)
Eine the two groups consists of school friends. We do this every year and just hope that our elves are still familiar.
The other group consists of Lolita my friends who I met through this mode and now have become really close friends. We have a short wish chosen as support for our elves to write.
And with my family? Since there is really nothing that I wish more of them. I therefore had no reason to ask for something specific.

I'm lucky if I manage to get my family gifts that they really like. And I hope that I can spend a little "sister time" with my younger sister, who else lives hours away from me. That and a Christmas party, which is not interrupted by any unpleasant incidents is what I really want this year. :)
And a happy, peaceful Christmas is already a sufficiently difficult request.
